About C.M.T. Ventures Inc.

Founded in 1995 by Corey Melnychuk with a single 1991 T600 Kenworth, C.M.T. has grown from humble beginnings into a diversified, industry‑leading transportation company. What started as a young entrepreneur hauling with the family’s old farm truck quickly evolved into a thriving operation built on hard work, integrity, and a commitment to service.

In the late 1990s, Corey began hauling grain in Central Alberta, marking the beginning of C.M.T.'s expansion in Central Alberta's agriculture sector. By 2005, C.M.T. had become the exclusive grain transport provider for Permolex, reinforcing its reputation for reliability and specialized expertise.

As demand grew, so did the company’s capabilities. The Oilfield Division launched in 2009, followed by the Deck Division in 2011 and the Tanker Division in 2016. The creation of C.M.T. Logistics Inc. in 2012 expanded the company’s reach across Canada as a federally operated carrier. With each milestone, C.M.T. invested in infrastructure—purchasing its Red Deer facility in 2010 and acquiring their laydown yard as its fleet surpassed 100 pieces of equipment.

The 2020's marked a defining era of growth and celebration. C.M.T. began hauling ethanol nationwide and commemorated its 25th anniversary with the addition of two special‑edition Peterbilts. The fleet has since expanded to more than 250 pieces of equipment, enabling the company to meet diverse hauling needs across Canada. 

In 2021, C.M.T. moved into its new home at 84 Burnt Park Drive in Red Deer, AB and proudly welcomed Corey and Debbie’s son, Cody, into the family business—solidifying the next generation of leadership.

2025 marked C.M.T.'s 30th year in business and was celebrated by further expanding its capabilities with the launch of C.M.T. Heavy Haul Inc., continuing its long tradition of serving Western Canada with innovation, safety, and a commitment to excellence to all our clients.

Today, C.M.T. stands as a testament to decades of dedication—rooted in family values, strengthened by community, and driven by a passion for delivering exceptional service across every mile.
